About The Position

The Program Security Representative provides multi-discipline security support for one or more customer Special Access Programs (SAPs), with day-to-day analysis for collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), and SAP activities. The role supports safeguarding classified and sensitive information in support of U.S. military operations and provides oversight, compliance, security education, and team leadership.

Requirements

• 10 or more years of related experience.
• At least 2 years of SAP experience.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Must possess a Top Secret/SCI clearance at the start; must be able to attain TS/SCI with CI polygraph.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related area, or an associate degree in a related area plus 2 years of experience, or equivalent experience (4 years).
• Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) counts toward 3 years of experience; Special Program Security Certification (SPSC) counts toward 5 years. Maximum experience equivalency for SPED certifications is 5 years.
• Skills in facility security, physical security, and system security.

Responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to the NISPOM and its Supplement, the DoD Overprint, DCID, ICD, and SAP policy.
• Assist in developing and executing approved policies and procedures for safeguarding SAP, SCI, and collateral data.
• Provide day-to-day security support, continuously assess procedures for shortfalls, and recommend improvements to security policies, procedures, and systems.
• Identify vulnerabilities, threats, and risks to test, training, and operational activities.
• Assist in developing, implementing, and training the Operations Security program.
• Assist with contractor and subordinate facility assistance and oversight.
• Brief government and senior civilian personnel on security-related topics.
• Conduct and document SAP facility compliance reviews, follow-on facility reviews, and facility close-outs.
• Monitor, report, and track corrective actions resulting from compliance reviews.
• Ensure timely notification of pertinent security matters to program technical and management staff.
• Investigate losses, compromises, or suspected compromises of classified or sensitive information, including preliminary inquiries and damage assessments.
• Coordinate with SAP security personnel to incorporate lessons learned into the SAP security education and awareness curriculum.
• Provide leadership, mentoring, and oversight of team members.
