About The Position

The Program Security Representative II provides multi-discipline security support for one or more customer Special Access Programs (SAPs), delivering day-to-day analysis for collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), and SAP activities. The role supports the safeguarding of classified and sensitive information in support of U.S. military operations and ensures compliance with applicable security requirements. The representative assesses security procedures, identifies vulnerabilities and risks, supports security policy and Operations Security (OPSEC) program development, and provides oversight and guidance to contractor and subordinate facilities. The position also conducts facility compliance reviews and investigations into losses or suspected compromises of classified or sensitive information, and supports SAP security education and awareness.

Requirements

8–10 years of related experience; Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) counts toward 3 years of experience, and Special Program Security Certification (SPSC) counts toward 5 years, with a maximum of 5 years of equivalent experience for SPED certifications.
SAP experience.
Bachelor’s degree in a related area, or an associate’s degree in a related area plus 2 years of experience, or equivalent experience (4 years).
Top Secret clearance.
Current clearance as defined in the Task Order.
Eligibility for access to Special Access Program Information.
Willingness to submit to a Counterintelligence polygraph.

Responsibilities

Ensure adherence to the NISPOM and its Supplement, the DoD Overprint, DCID, ICD, and SAP policy.
Assist in developing and executing approved policies and procedures for safeguarding SAP, SCI, and collateral data in support of U.S. military operations.
Provide day-to-day security support and continuously assess procedures to identify shortfalls, recommending improvements to security policies, procedures, and systems.
Identify vulnerabilities, threats, and risks to test, training, and operational activities.
Assist in developing, implementing, and training the Operations Security program.
Assist with contractor and subordinate facility assistance and oversight.
Brief government personnel and senior civilian services personnel on security-related topics.
Conduct and document SAP facility compliance reviews, follow-on facility reviews, and facility closeouts.
Monitor, report, and track corrective actions resulting from compliance reviews.
Ensure timely notification of pertinent security matters to program technical and management staff.
Explore losses, compromises, or suspected compromises of classified or sensitive information, including conducting preliminary inquiries and preparing damage assessments.
Coordinate with SAP security personnel to incorporate lessons learned into the SAP security education and awareness curriculum.
