About The Position

The Program Scheduler is an integral member of the PMO at Thomas Global Systems, responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing Integrated Master Schedules (IMSs) for complex aerospace and defense programs. The role works closely with the Programs Director, Program Managers, and cross-functional teams to ensure schedules accurately reflect program scope, execution strategy, dependencies, and contractual commitments. The Scheduler monitors schedule performance, analyzes critical paths, identifies emerging risks, and recommends recovery actions to support successful program delivery. The position is fully onsite in Irvine, California. Thomas Global Systems designs, manufactures, and supports high-integrity aviation and defense electronics, with locations in Sydney, Australia, and Irvine, California.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Business, Program Management, or a related discipline.
At least 3 years of scheduling or program-controls experience in aerospace, defense, or another complex technical environment.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Project and Critical Path Method scheduling.
Working knowledge of IMS development, EVM/EVMS, schedule-health analysis, and schedule-risk concepts.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to work across multiple technical functions.
Strong facilitation, documentation, and presentation skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Project or equivalent scheduling tools, including experience maintaining Integrated Master Schedules.
U.S. person status, required due to applicable export-control requirements.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with DCMA schedule-assessment practices and NDIA PASEG.
Experience with Deltek Acumen, Primavera, Safran, or similar schedule-analysis tools.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain logic-driven Integrated Master Schedules using Microsoft Project or equivalent tools.
Integrate engineering, procurement, manufacturing, integration, qualification, and delivery activities into an executable program schedule.
Maintain appropriate task relationships, milestones, constraints, calendars, schedule margin, and cross-functional dependencies.
Perform critical-path, driving-path, near-critical-path, float, and schedule-health analysis.
Conduct schedule assessments consistent with DCMA and NDIA PASEG scheduling practices and identify corrective actions for schedule-quality issues.
Support monthly schedule status, baseline maintenance, forecasting, variance analysis, and EVM reporting.
Coordinate schedule inputs and updates with Program Managers and functional or task owners.
Support Schedule Risk Assessments by preparing the IMS, identifying relevant paths and activities, and providing schedule data to the risk-analysis process.
Maintain schedule interfaces, including internal, customer, supplier, and giver/receiver dependencies.
Prepare schedule metrics, critical-path information, recovery scenarios, and supporting materials for PMRs, SMRs, EV reviews, and customer reviews.
Identify emerging schedule risks and recommend sequencing, logic, or recovery alternatives to program leadership.
