About The Position

Leidos is seeking a Program Scheduler to support the Thermal Protection Systems project with our Hypersonics portfolio. This position is part of the Kinetic Effects Business Area within the Leidos Defense Systems Sector and offers the opportunity to contribute to critical national defense initiatives. This exciting role provides direct scheduling contribution to critical programs and related portfolios of work. This position will reside at our Mid-City campus in Huntsville Alabama, where you will be working with various production & manufacturing leads, Integrated Product Teams, key program stakeholders, and an EVMS support Team; to improve program planning and execution while ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and company policy and procedures. The Program Scheduler position will be an integral part of the larger enterprise-wide Leidos Corporate Earned Value Management (EVM) Center of Excellence (COE). The Leidos Corporate EVM COE is a team-leading and executing the core responsibilities of scheduling, planning, EVMS, the associated infrastructure and tools, implementations, training, and surveillance for Leidos.

Requirements

Typically requires bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of prior relevant industry experience; additional years of experience, certifications and training will be taken into consideration.
Ability and willingness to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance. (U.S. Citizenship is required)
Has full understanding of concepts, principles, and standards of industry best practices within the programmatic scheduling discipline
Must have Intermediate expertise using Microsoft Project scheduling software
Must possess an understanding of scheduling theory including experience with: schedule status processes schedule health assessment (e.g., 14-Point Analysis) resource loading baseline change control processes schedule execution metrics (BEI, CEI, CPLI, SV, SPI etc.) Schedule Risk Assessment (SRA)/Monte Carlo Analysis and tools Critical Path Method (CPM) and Margin/Float management Schedule Risk Assessment (SRA)/Monte Carlo Analysis and tools Critical Path Method (CPM) and Margin/Float management

Nice To Haves

Experience in Aerospace/Defense Industry as prime contractor and/or major subcontractor
Intermediate to advanced expertise using Structured Solutions Inc. (SSI) Tools for Microsoft Project
Utilization of MS Project Macros
Active DoD Secret clearance

Responsibilities

Responsible for applying scheduling theory/practice to develop the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and related artifacts in compliance with applicable standards and policies such as EVM standard EIA-748 and industry best practices (e.g., PASEG, NDIA) in alignment with the mission of the EVM COE and in support of programs.
Ability to create “what-if/impact” scenarios within the schedule that inform program leadership and enrich programmatic decisions.
Serves as a scheduling team member in assisting stakeholders with issue identification & resolution solutions
Responsible for implementing practices to align the time phasing and plans for resources with the IMS to provide an integrated technical, schedule, and resource / cost baseline and forecast/ ETC for programs.
Implement program scheduling business rhythms & best practices.
Develop scheduling artifacts to meet contractual/project requirements.
Monitor, analyze, and report performance against baseline schedules to ensure that contractual, cost, and schedule objectives are met.
Provides scheduling support to EVM COE and programs for internal and external audits, reviews, and application of resulting corrective actions.
