About The Position

General Dynamics Electric Boat is a leader in the shipbuilding industry, designing, building, and maintaining advanced submarines. The Department 411 – Life Cycle Support Programs serves as the program office for the Hull Planning Yard, administering OMNIBUS and Spare Parts BOA contracts for life cycle support of all active duty submarine classes. This includes overseeing design updates, configuration control, Integrated Logistics Support documentation, kit and manufacture of shipboard alteration packages, and delivery of spare parts. The Role Overview details the need for a Program Representative within the Life Cycle Support (LCS) team. This individual will manage tasks related to material and programmatic support for spare parts for VIRGINIA and SEAWOLF Class submarines, supplying the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA). The role involves collaboration with various departments (Finance, Contracts, Engineering, Purchasing, Quality, Data Modelers) and external entities (vendors, SUPSHIP, NAVSEA).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Operations & Supply Chain Management, Construction Management, Engineering, IT, Computer or Physical Sciences and at least 5 years of relevant experience
  • High School Diploma or GED and 8+ years’ of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
  • Strong computer skills, especially MS Excel, Power Point, and Word
  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, communication, and analytical skills
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, multi-task, and willingness to learn
  • Strong attention to detail, especially in regards to contractual language
  • Ability to function independently without significant oversight

  • Past experience working in a Naval Shipyard environment
  • Background of Project or Administrative Management
  • Experience working with DoD Contracts
  • Background with or for NAVSUP
  • Working knowledge of the Special Emphasis Program

Responsibilities

  • Managing a variety of tasks associated with material and programmatic support supplying the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) with spare parts for use on VIRGINIA and SEAWOLF Class submarines.
