Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world. We are seeking an Onsite Program Quality Engineer (PQE) to serve within the Advanced Programs Quality team. The PQE will support production and development contracts ensuring that program goals are accomplished while staying compliant to AS9100 requirements. The successful candidate of Quality and Mission Assurance (QMA) Professionals will help safeguard the effective integration and implementation of RTX processes and procedures within the constraints of Raytheon Command Media. The ideal candidate should possess excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to evaluate data to drive process improvements. Strong communication and collaboration abilities are essential, as the role requires close interaction with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality and compliance throughout the production lifecycle. Proficiency in root cause analysis (RCA), and quality management systems is highly desirable, along with a proactive mindset to address problems and optimize production outcomes. This position is an onsite role in McKinney, TX.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics and a minimum of two (2) of engineering, manufacturing, or similar experience.
  • Experience with either ISO 9001 or AS9100 Quality Management Systems
  • Working experience participating in root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Six Sigma, Lean, and / or American Society for Quality (ASQ) certifications.
  • Experience with Customer Oriented Results and Excellence (CORE) or another Continuous Improvement Program.
  • Proven successes in building and maintaining relationships with suppliers, customers, and in a team environment
  • Experience with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)/AS9145 and utilizing resources such as Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Key Characteristics, DFMEA, PFMEA, and/or Control Plans.
  • Experience in First Article Inspections per AS9102
  • Demonstrated performance being a passionate, high-energy, self-starting team player who achieves goals and strives for continuous improvement.
  • Working experience interpreting technical drawings.
  • Experience comprehending and translating system requirements as well as contractual requirements to ensure full compliance is flowed down through product, assembly, and test documentation.
  • Strong technical engineer with excellent communication skills that exhibits presence and influence and self-managed technical contributor
  • Experience with creating and interpreting quality metrics.

Responsibilities

  • Drive integration and implementation of cross-functional teams to ensure alignment to quality and customer requirements.
  • Serve as a member of the Program team, ensuring successful program performance, deliver conforming products/services through effective partnership and compliance to processes and procedures.
  • Work with cross-functional teams and program management to define and implement quality improvement strategies.
  • Oversee root cause corrective action (RCCA) and FRACAS activities for systemic issues.
  • Review and approve changes to the technical data package, assign actions when necessary and complete actions in a timely manner when assigned. This includes but is not limited to: Peer reviews, Engineering Review/Change Control Board (ERB/CCB) and/or Design reviews.
  • Generate CORE (Customer Oriented Result and Excellence) and CoPQ (Cost of Poor Quality) projects to reduce costs/increase efficiency.
  • Interpret command media in compliance to work being performed.
  • Interface with customer and program team related to hardware DD-250 activities.
