About The Position

Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Program Quality Engineer Staff to support the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) Quality Program in Titusville, Florida. This role is responsible for supervising the overall implementation, maintenance, and compliance to quality requirements. The position involves investigating Quality related support activities and supporting quality decisions associated with the effective implementation, operation, and assessment of Quality data. The Program Quality Procurement Engineer (PQPE) implements the program’s Quality plan and leads the Quality team, ensuring compliance to industry standards, contractual requirements, and customer expectations. PQPE serves as a single focal point for Quality & Mission Success, leading the Quality Program Team through all aspects of the program/product lifecycle. This includes Hardware Quality Engineering, Supplier Quality, and Production Operations Quality. PQPE ensures communication and flow down of requirements to internal teams and the external supply base, and may supplement Quality team surveillance as required. The PQPE is responsible for developing and managing the Quality financial scope, analyzing quality performance data, identifying recurring issues, driving root cause analysis and corrective actions, and escalating quality performance issues to senior leadership. This role requires strong analytical skills and a detail-oriented approach. This position requires a Security Clearance prior to start and US Citizenship, with the ability to obtain a Secret Security clearance.

Requirements

  • Bachelors or Master's or higher level degree from an accredited college
  • Quality experience or related/ equivalent experience in a test or production environment.
  • Experience with quality or systems or manufacturing engineering processes or hardware engineering processes or policies or quality systems management or anything else related.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office applications.
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance
  • US Citizenship

  • Previous experience in manufacturing and/or quality including inspection, testing, and certification of products.
  • Familiarity with Procure-to-Pay or SAP, EPDM, PMPDB, and other Lockheed tools that house engineering requirements.
  • Familiarity with reading Program Quality Requirements Checklists, Quality Codes, and QCode Matrices.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Bachelors or Master's or higher level degree from an accredited college in any related discipline in an Engineering, Business, or Supply chain function
  • Currently active Secret clearance
  • Degree with 5+ years of related quality engineering experiences

Responsibilities

  • Supervising overall implementation, maintenance, and compliance to quality requirements.
  • Investigating Quality related support activities.
  • Supporting quality decisions associated with the effective implementation, operation, and assessment of Quality data.
  • Implementing the program’s Quality plan and leading the Quality team.
  • Ensuring compliance to industry standards, contractual requirements, and customer expectations.
  • Serving as a single focal point for Quality & Mission Success (Customer, Program Management, Functions).
  • Leading the Quality Program Team – all aspects including Hardware Quality Engineering, Supplier Quality, and Production Operations Quality – through all areas of the program / product lifecycle.
  • Ensuring communication and flow down of requirements to internal teams and external supply base.
  • Supplementing Quality team surveillance as required.
  • Developing and managing the Quality financial scope.
  • Analyzing quality performance data (manufacturing data, engineering design metrics).
  • Identifying recurring issues.
  • Driving root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Raising quality performance issues to senior leadership, as needed.
  • Ensuring Quality Engineering, Inspection and Auditor resources are in place to support surveillance activity and upcoming deliverables.
  • Flowing Program and Quality related information to Quality Program Team (QPT).
  • Reviewing Quality data for trends (favorable or unfavorable) and performing root cause analysis as needed.
  • Communicating with DCMA and end-contract customers regarding upcoming joint customer events.
  • Collaborating with Engineering & Technology, Production Operations regarding process questions or changes.
  • Providing Quality activity progress update and accomplishments in support of business rhythm.
