About The Position

The Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation and Reentry (ADCRR) is seeking a Program Project Specialist II to join their team at the Maricopa Reentry Center. This role is crucial in providing psycho-educational programs and case management services to offenders/residents, both in group and one-on-one settings. The specialist will conduct needs assessments, develop individual program plans, and assist with transitional planning for individuals leaving the reentry center. This position requires interaction with internal and external staff, including Community Corrections Officers and community providers, and involves maintaining accurate documentation and statistical data. The role demands independent work with minimal supervision, and requires driving and traveling on State business.

Collecting and maintaining accurate data/documentation and program records
Coordinate offender/resident release planning
Interact professionally with a wide variety of ADCRR staff and the public
Work in a secured prison and a community-based correctional center environment

Produce reports
Maintain confidentiality
Work independently with minimal supervision
Possess and retain a current, valid class-appropriate driver’s license
Complete all required training
Successfully pass all necessary driver’s license record checks
Maintain acceptable driving records
Complete all required driver training
Maintain the statutorily required liability insurance (if operating a personally owned vehicle)
Take a Tuberculosis (TB) test during New Employee Orientation and every year thereafter
Successfully complete the Electronic Employment Eligibility Verification Program (E-Verify)

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in a related field
Minimum of one (1) year experience working with justice-involved individuals, probationers, parolees, or inmates
Minimum of one (1) year experience in instruction or teaching of programs, classes or groups

Responsibilities

Delivers programming services and classes in a group or one-on-one setting during weekdays, weekends, and evenings to offenders/residents under supervision of the Community Corrections Division
Case management of various elements of offender/resident participation, class completions, documentation and data entry
Statistical gathering and reporting on programs, offender/resident needs, participation and success of programs
Communicates, interacts and works with internal and external employees, contractors, community agencies, programming delivery entities and offenders/residents
Drives on State business
Performs other duties appropriate to the assignment
