About The Position

Torch Technologies, a 100% employee-owned company, is seeking to fill a Program Planning & Control Analyst position in its Program Control Department. The successful candidate must be detail-oriented, highly organized, and self-starting, possessing the knowledge and capabilities to perform tasks related to budgeting, planning, tracking, and cost/financial analysis. This role involves participating in the planning, tracking, analysis, and reporting of projects, developing budgets for cost/schedule baselines, tracking project costs and commitments, monitoring schedule performance against the baseline, and reviewing/approving purchase orders and invoices for Subcontractors & Consultants. The role also includes responsibility for customer financial CDRL development and delivery.

Requirements

  • US Citizenship.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or similar discipline.
  • 0-2 years related experience in program planning/cost controls.
  • Good communication (oral and written) skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain a close relationship with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to work independently and take a proactive role to assure that items are completed on or ahead of schedule.
  • Basic understanding of the Subcontractor process from RFQ to de-obligation of funds.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the development of solutions regarding issues that arise on all Contract Types (CPFF, FFP, T&M, etc).
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and program managers with competing priority levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office to include – Word and Excel.
  • Proficiency with Deltek Costpoint and TM1 / Focus Point software will be considered a plus.
  • Candidate must meet requirements to obtain a final security clearance to access classified information.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the planning, tracking, analysis and reporting of projects.
  • Participate in the development of budgets that lead to the establishment of a cost/schedule baselines.
  • Track project costs and commitments, schedule performance, and monitors performance against the baseline.
  • Review and approve purchase orders & invoices for Subcontractors & Consultants.
  • Responsible for customer financial CDRL development and delivery.
