About The Position

CRJ is seeking compassionate and dependable Community Corrections Workers (Program Monitors) to support individuals. This is an entry-level, part-time, 32-hours/week, non-exempt position located in Boston, MA. The role is eligible for benefits and offers an hourly rate starting at $18-$20/hr with a shift differential. It provides valuable training and opportunities for career advancement and professional development within CRJ. The schedule for this overnight position is Sunday 11pm-7am, Monday 11pm-7am, Friday 11pm-7am, and Saturday 11pm-7am.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must complete required background check.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree preferred but not required.
  • 1-2 years of security experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general reception duties, including signing residents in and out, taking calls, greeting and signing in visitors, conducting telephone spot checks, entering documentation in SecurManage, and sorting and distributing mail.
  • Conduct security and accountability duties such as scheduled house rounds (life/safety checks), nightly bed checks, bag, pat, and room searches, and monitoring resident daily details, with all documentation entered in SecurManage.
  • Take urine samples per schedule and complete documentation, and administer alco-sensor tests, entering documentation in SecurManage.
  • Serve as a pro-social role model to residents to support their behavior change, effectively conveying information and responding to resident concerns, needs, and complaints.
  • Attend training and staff meetings as required.
  • Perform other job-related projects and activities as requested or directed.
