About The Position

Join the Office of Intellectual & Developmental Disability Supports (OIDD) and make a meaningful difference in the lives of Louisiana’s youngest children and their families. Help strengthen EarlySteps by recruiting and supporting qualified providers, coordinating IDEA Part C training, and building a comprehensive system focused on provider development, retention, and public awareness. Requirements

  • Seven years of experience in developing, managing, or evaluating health or social service programs; or in public health, public relations, social services, health services, health regulation, or administrative services; OR Six years of full-time work experience in any field plus four years of experience in developing, managing, or evaluating health or social service programs; or in public health, public relations, social services, health services, health regulation, or administrative services; OR A bachelor’s degree plus four years of experience in developing, managing, or evaluating health or social service programs; or in public health, public relations, social services, health services, health regulation, or administrative services; OR An advanced degree or a Juris Doctorate plus three years of experience in developing, managing, or evaluating health or social service programs; or in public health, public relations, social services, health services, health regulation, or administrative services.
  • Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and facilitates training related to IDEA Part C and EarlySteps requirements.
  • Develops and maintains a comprehensive system of personnel development for EarlySteps.
  • Coordinates onboarding activities for new EarlySteps providers.
  • Supports the recruitment of qualified providers to meet EarlySteps service needs.
  • Develops strategies to promote provider retention and ongoing engagement.
  • Coordinates professional development opportunities to enhance provider knowledge and service delivery.
  • Promotes public awareness of EarlySteps and IDEA Part C services, programs, and provider opportunities.
