About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Program Medical Director to provide clinical and operational leadership for a well-established hospital medicine team in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. This role involves a blend of clinical practice and leadership responsibilities, with 8 clinical shifts per month and 84 hours of protected administrative time monthly. The opportunity to influence program growth, quality initiatives, and operational excellence is a key aspect of this position, supported by an established and experienced provider team.
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Minimum of 2 years of hospital medicine leadership experience in an Associate Medical Director, Medical Director, or similar leadership role
- Strong communication, team-building, and operational leadership skills
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and operational leadership for a seasoned hospital medicine team
- Partner with hospital administration and leadership to achieve organizational goals
- Drive quality improvement initiatives and patient care outcomes
- Support provider engagement, mentorship, recruitment, and retention
- Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, and clinical excellence
