About The Position

Amazon's Legal Department is looking for a talented and motivated Program Manager to support Amazon Web Services (AWS). AWS is at the forefront of the cloud computing and service industry, providing IT infrastructure services such as on-demand compute capacity, storage, content delivery, database services, browsers and more. The successful candidate will join the AWS Sales and Marketing Legal team and work closely with legal team members and cross-functional business partners to manage and run projects of varying complexity and size.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of program or project management experience
  • Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Can communicate effectively with all levels of the organization

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree or above in a relevant field
  • Active project management certification (e.g., APM, CSM, PMI-ACP, PRINCE2)
  • Experience in driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
  • Experience handling ambiguous or undefined challenges through strong problem solving abilities
  • Experience with reporting and Data Visualization tools such as Quick Sight / Tableau / Power BI or other BI packages
  • Experience conducting sophisticated and creative analysis of complex data and translate the results into actionable deliverables, messages, and presentations
  • Experience building cross-functional partnerships and influencing stakeholders across the organization to act without having a direct reporting relationship
  • Experience with software development or managing a software system; including assessing cost/benefits and configuring for user experience

Responsibilities

  • Create and manage tools for the legal team.
  • Educate and coach legal colleagues on project management.
  • Design projects for global roll-out.
  • Incorporate problem solving, strategic thinking, and tactical execution.
  • Take ownership of improving the team’s systems and processes.
  • Collaborate with legal colleagues and PMO customers on projects of varying size through project meetings, email, and instant messaging services.
  • Work on projects with colleagues in other geos, like EMEA and APJC, demonstrating flexibility.
  • Work on a variety of projects, such as process improvement, tool builds, creating reporting mechanisms, and drafting updates to our internal website.
  • Ensure all stakeholders are informed on project deliverables, timelines, and other pertinent information.
  • Use writing skills to share project updates, draft PRFAQs, and other documents as needed.
