About The Position

The Program Manager (PgM) is a strategic, operations‑focused leader responsible for assigned, strategic customer relationships to include; end‑to‑end ownership of all customer orders, including component sales, engineered and manufactured systems, and the full aftermarket lifecycle. This role provides comprehensive program leadership from order intake and contract review through execution, delivery, aftermarket support, and program closeout, ensuring continuity, accountability, and long‑term customer satisfaction. The Program Manager is empowered to make program‑level decisions to ensure alignment with strategic business objectives, customer commitments, contractual scope, and integrated schedules across the entire order and aftermarket portfolio. The primary emphasis of the role is operational execution and lifecycle ownership—driving cross‑functional alignment across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and service organizations to deliver predictable outcomes. With a strategic mindset, the Program Manager balances near‑term delivery performance with longer‑term aftermarket opportunities, operational scalability, and sustained customer value. This position reports to the Director of Manufacturing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience, including project management experience
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills
  • Must be able to interpret instructions and synthesize input from multiple departments
  • Must be a team player with strong cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Ability to read and understand hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical blueprints is a plus
  • Working knowledge of Monday.com, Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet Explorer, and Outlook
  • Strong financial acumen and budget management experience preferred
  • Precise detail orientation with ability to maintain high-level strategic perspective
  • Strong communication, organization, and time management skills
  • Familiarity with hydraulic/electrical machine parts is a plus
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or production office environment is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage multiple related engineering projects as a coordinated program to ensure alignment with organizational objectives
  • Maintain intimate familiarity with overarching contract scope across all projects within the program; pursue clarification from Sales and/or customers when needed
  • Identify scope creep across projects as they occur and coordinate change orders in conjunction with the Sales group and project management group prior to execution of modified scope
  • Monitor and control overall program budget, financial performance, and resource allocation across projects
  • Establish program governance, standards, and reporting structures to ensure consistency across all projects
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for Project Managers regarding scope, schedule, budget, and resource conflicts
  • Stand as the program’s executive-level point of contact between the customer and Airline Hydraulics when required; Manage high-level customer relationships and expectations
  • Facilitate communication between internal groups including Sales, Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Order Processing (OPG), Quality Assurance (QA), and outside contractors to ensure program alignment
  • Coordinate program-level meetings with stakeholders as required; Ensure documentation and communication of key decisions and action items
  • Ensure all costs are appropriately costed to projects
  • Oversee development and integration of individual project timelines into a master program schedule using industry-standard tools (e.g. Gantt Charts)
  • Monitor program progress against established baselines; Identify risks, interdependencies, and schedule conflicts before adverse impact occurs
  • Track high-level deliverables, documentation submittals, and long-lead purchased items across projects; Ensure cross-project coordination
  • Regularly report consolidated program status to internal leadership and external stakeholders as required; Hold Project Managers accountable for maintaining schedules and budgets
  • Escalate significant financial, contractual, warranty, or resource issues to executive leadership for approval as required
  • Coordinate with Engineering and QA groups to ensure deliverables across all projects meet customer specifications and program objectives
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and standardization within the Project Management function
  • Identify and execute customer relationship maintenance and building activities
