About The Position

Now hiring a Program Manager at Southern Peaks Regional Treatment Center. Here, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team helping at-risk adolescents on the Mental Health Unit BUILD BETTER FUTURES. Who We Are: Abraxas Youth & Family Services is a national nonprofit human services provider dedicated to Building Better Futures for at-risk youth, adults, and families. Our diversified array of services includes alternative education, outpatient counseling, in-home services, shelter, detention, residential treatment and re-entry/transition services. Requirements

  • An associate's degree in the Human Services field or related field as well as a minimum of two (2) years of experience working in a childcare setting is required.
  • Must possess a valid Colorado Driver’s License
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Must be able to pass physical and pre-employment drug/alcohol screening
  • Must pass criminal background check investigation
  • Flexibility to work overtime as required.

Nice To Haves

  • A bachelor's degree in the Human Services field or related field is preferred.
  • Lived experience is valued and considered a qualifying criterion for this position. Examples of relevant lived experience may include personal or family involvement with the foster care or child welfare system, providing care for individuals with disabilities or special needs, or prior service within the Department of Corrections, the military, or human services fields. Candidates with diverse backgrounds and experience are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises, assists with hiring, and evaluates staff performance, develops measurable objectives for necessary improvements and implements appropriate corrective action to staff adhering to human resources policies and utilizing Human Resources when necessary.
  • Oversee clients’ individual treatment planning process and aids as required.
  • Provides supervision of the direct care staff members and coordinates with clinical, supervisory and educational departments about the programmatic activities to optimize client services.
  • Oversee direct care staff members scheduling to ensure compliance with maximum contractual guidelines, control overtime and to ensure fair and equitable staff member schedules.
  • Review and approve direct care staff members timecards to ensure accuracy and completeness and submit to appropriate payroll personnel in a timely manner.
  • Participates in meetings for the discussion of behavioral and client progressional and provides direction to other supervisory staff members.
  • Regularly participates with and supervises residents in specific daily programmatic activities. Ensures contractual compliance and services are provided in a professional manner.
  • Evaluates and coordinates training needs and assists with enduring training needs are met for regulatory compliance purposes.
  • Serves as a point of contact between supervisor staff and program/facility management.
  • Supports the Abraxas philosophy, mission and promotes the Seven Key Principles of Care.
  • Demonstrates appropriate use of Safety Crisis Management techniques and skills.
  • Supports and promotes the Sanctuary Model and its commitments.
