About The Position

The U.S. Forest Service Program Management Support contract will provide policy analysis, program management, and support services for a portfolio of dozens of highly complex U.S. Forest Service projects. The work is performed remotely during regular business hours to support projects located in many locations across the country and occasionally at locations outside U.S. borders. Most work occurs primarily in office environments and may require participation in field-going activities in outdoor environments. Requirements

  • Authorization to permanently work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Ability to complete background investigations and Personal Identity Verification (PIV).
  • Bachelor's degree and 8 years of experience OR Master's degree and 4 years of experience; in business, management, information systems or other related fields.
  • Strong background in project management.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide guidance and direction to staff and possess expertise in the management and control of funds and resources, establishing requirements and procedures for responding to statements of work for BPA call, and preparing deliverables.
  • Experience leading and integrating elements of complex projects to achieve desired results by setting strategically aligned goals.

Nice To Haves

  • Project Management Professional certification preferred.
  • Business process reengineering expertise preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead contractor personnel and build effective, energized teams.
  • Monitor performance, costs, budgets, deliverables, and resource utilization.
  • Coordinate with client sponsors across all program activities.
  • Integrate complex projects and respond effectively to BPA requirements.
  • Allocate funds and resources to achieve strategic project objectives.
  • Prepare BPA call responses and required project deliverables.
  • Apply business process improvements to enhance program performance.
