The Program Manager for Air Force Travel Pay Processing oversees the centralized processing of temporary duty (TDY) and permanent change of station (PCS) travel vouchers for the Department of the Air Force. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring compliance with federal travel regulations, maximizing financial processing accuracy, and managing a large team of financial technicians (36) to meet strict Department of Defense (DoD) performance timelines.

Requirements

  • Have one year of experience as a Program Manager in Financial Management
  • Documentation of Manager or Supervisory training certificates
  • Must be able to pass a National Criminal History Check (NCHC)
  • Must be able to pass a drug test
  • Must have a valid Driver's License

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in finance, business administration, accounting, or a related field.
  • DoD Financial Management (FM) Certification Level 2 or 3; a Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM) credential is highly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all aspects of Financial Technicians recruitment.
  • Serves as the focal point for all contractor personnel actions.
  • Identifies and coordinates with AFIMSC/FMFK leadership on the training needs of contractor personnel.
  • Makes decisions on conduct and/or complaints presented by peers and AFIMSC/FMFK supervisors.
  • Administers disciplinary measures such as warnings, reprimands, and terminations, and is responsible for cultivating a work environment free from all forms of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation.
  • Addresses subordinates' concerns and follows up with appropriate action to improve workplace morale.
  • Communicates and enforces policies, procedures, mission objectives, and organizational design to eliminate concerns or barriers to mission accomplishment, promote team building, implement quality improvements, or respond to concerns related to regulatory compliance and/or customer requirements.
  • Ensures the successful completion of required training and testing by all contractor personnel.
  • Ability to collaborate with AFIMSC/FMFK Leadership and manage personnel functional efforts.
  • Serves as the liaison between contractor personnel and the AFIMSC/FMFK Security Manager concerning all security clearance actions.
  • Ensures all performance thresholds and requirements of the performance work statement are met.
