Program Manager, LICSW/LMHC
About The Position
NSCS is seeking a Program Manager for the Children’s After School Program (CASP) in Revere, MA. CASP is a voluntary, community-based, therapeutic program supporting 8 children ages 6 to 13 with emotional and/or mental health needs. The position is 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 10 am-6 pm, with direct child support from 2 pm to 5 pm. The program is structured and utilizes a positive reinforcement reward system. Children participate in therapeutic groups focusing on social and adaptive coping skills, working directly with a Master-level Clinician and Youth Care Specialists. The Program Manager supports clinical staff in delivering therapeutic services and oversees transportation provided year-round.
Requirements
- Master's degree in a related behavioral health field required
- LICSW OR LMHC REQUIRED
- Experience with children with behavior problems or serious emotional disturbances.
- A valid Massachusetts driver’s license is required and minimum three (3) years driving history required.
- Must be CPR and First Aid certified or able to become certified within 3 months of hire.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in therapeutic after-school setting, day treatment, and/or residential program.
- Bilingual (Spanish & English) is highly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all milieu activities.
- Provide leadership, supervision and evaluation of program staff.
- Assist the Clinician in creation of psychosocial assessments and treatment plans for the youth.
- Connect with the parents of the enrolled children to provide updates on their child’s progress.
- Manage risk issues of program staff as well as the children.
- Evaluate the training needs of the program.
- Represent the program at appropriate Department of Mental Health meetings and any school based or care coordination meetings for the enrolled child.
