About The Position

Science, Engineering, Management Solutions, LLC (Sem-Sol) is a small business located in Albuquerque, NM, specializing in directed energy and pulsed power systems. Sem-Sol is seeking a Program Manager who can direct multiple teams to successful project completion. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, organized, and experienced. They should be able to manage the details of multiple simultaneous programs, including budgets, deadlines, and reporting requirements. The Program Manager will be responsible for leading a technical team with varying levels of experience, utilizing their knowledge and execution of program management methodology and techniques, budgeting, and resource allocation to keep everyone on task and on target.

Requirements

10+ years project/program management experience; specifically, federal government contracts.
Experience working in an R&D or prototyping environment.
Experience working with directed energy or pulsed power projects.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
BA or BS.
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Active Security Clearance is required or ability to obtain a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

MS in project management or engineering
Active Top Secret security clearance

Responsibilities

Daily management of projects.
Defining the project controls.
Interfacing with the scheduler creating the project’s critical path and monitoring the progress.
Managing the project’s budget.
Measuring percent complete on tasks.
Managing risks and issues and taking corrective action measurements.
Planning and executing communication plans to stakeholders.
Ensuring contract deliverable deadlines are met
