About The Position

This role is responsible for Program Management, ensuring defined metric attainment and customer satisfaction, and supporting business growth through new business quotations with Sales to obtain system growth opportunities. The Program Manager will lead the cross-functional program team to achieve defined program metrics, obtain required cross-functional support from functional managers, and manage customer expectations. This includes establishing and maintaining an effective system of communication and information flow cross-functionally, driving the program team to adhere to methods, procedures, and responsibilities defined in INPRO, and performing supervisory duties for program engineers assigned to the group. The role also involves active participation in continuous improvement and corrective action activities, completing all required training, complying with all work rules, policies, procedures, and safety rules and regulations, providing support to other positions as needed, and performing other duties as assigned. The Program Manager is expected to achieve and exceed financial objectives (EBIT, ROCE, Material Margin), manufacturing launch metrics, defined quality metrics, and manage Plastic Omnium and customer-defined timing. This includes managing program budgets (Prototype, Production Tooling and Capital), managing Stop-Invest following program approval, supporting the Sales group, assisting in defining metrics, defining terms and objectives, and distributing APQP tasks. The role also serves as the Customer Point Contact.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Engineering or Business
  • 5 + years of experience in Program Management managing Tiers 1 programs.
  • Computer proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Basic ability to navigate Internet and Intranet software packages
  • Ability to maintain working relationships with internal and external customers
  • Must be flexible, dependable and creative
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills (English required)
  • Ability to collect, maintain and analyze data
  • Must be able to manage time and determine priorities
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations
