About The Position

Spectrum Child and Family Services is seeking a Program Manager for its Valor Place open-youth residential program in Detroit. This role involves mentoring young men aged 12 to 18, providing them with the positive role modeling and treatment programming needed to become self-sufficient, stable, and competent. The Program Manager will be a vital link between the organization's mission and the daily transformation of the youth, ensuring high-quality care and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree and 2 years of experience in a child-caring institution; or
  • Two years of college and 3 years of experience in a child-caring institution; or
  • A High School diploma and 4 years of experience in a child-caring institution.
  • A valid Michigan Driver’s License.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Ability to pass all criminal history and DHHS clearances.

Responsibilities

  • Providing direct coaching and leadership to staff to ensure the highest quality of care and welfare for residents.
  • Managing all support personnel and operations, ensuring mandated staff ratios are met and all critical documentation is completed.
  • Ensuring the Detroit facility exceeds licensing standards, DHHS requirements, and Wayne County contractual expectations.
  • Serving as a primary contact and stepping into leadership responsibilities in the Director’s absence.
