About The Position
Spectrum Child and Family Services is seeking a Program Manager for its Valor Place open-youth residential program in Detroit. This role involves mentoring young men aged 12 to 18, providing them with the positive role modeling and treatment programming needed to become self-sufficient, stable, and competent. The Program Manager will be a vital link between the organization's mission and the daily transformation of the youth, ensuring high-quality care and operational excellence.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree and 2 years of experience in a child-caring institution; or
- Two years of college and 3 years of experience in a child-caring institution; or
- A High School diploma and 4 years of experience in a child-caring institution.
- A valid Michigan Driver’s License.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass all criminal history and DHHS clearances.
Responsibilities
- Providing direct coaching and leadership to staff to ensure the highest quality of care and welfare for residents.
- Managing all support personnel and operations, ensuring mandated staff ratios are met and all critical documentation is completed.
- Ensuring the Detroit facility exceeds licensing standards, DHHS requirements, and Wayne County contractual expectations.
- Serving as a primary contact and stepping into leadership responsibilities in the Director’s absence.
