About The Position

The Program Manager position plays a critical role in managing the Digestive Diseases Research Center (DDRC) and providing executive assistant support for Dr. Richard Peek, the Division Director. This role involves planning, developing, and executing ongoing programs that impact a significant segment of the organization. The VDDRC is a multidisciplinary center at VUMC designed to promote digestive disease-related research, develop programs for training young investigators, enhance research capabilities, facilitate the transfer of research discoveries to clinical care, and attract new investigators to the field.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Digestive Diseases Research Center (DDRC).
  • Provide executive assistant support for Dr. Richard Peek, the Division Director.
  • Plan, develop, and execute ongoing programs that impact a significant segment of the organization.
  • Maintain the efficiency and productivity of Dr. Peek's grant-related administrative tasks.
  • Oversee faculty recruitment, interview process, faculty appointment process, faculty reappointments, faculty FMLA process, and new faculty orientation.
