About The Position

Aptive seeks an experienced Program Manager to support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Healthcare Technology Management (HTM). This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing enterprise-level initiatives that support healthcare technology management operations, modernization efforts, and national program priorities across VA medical facilities. The selected candidate will manage projects throughout the full lifecycle, including scope development, scheduling, resource planning, risk identification and mitigation, stakeholder coordination, and progress reporting. Responsibilities include developing project documentation, tracking deliverables, preparing leadership briefings, and supporting recurring program communications such as monthly progress reports and strategic planning updates. The Project/Program Manager will work closely with clinical engineering and healthcare technology stakeholders to ensure initiatives are executed efficiently and align with mission goals. The ideal candidate will have strong experience leading complex projects involving multiple stakeholders and competing priorities, along with excellent communication and organizational skills. This role requires the ability to coordinate across technical teams, leadership, and field personnel while maintaining consistent documentation, timelines, and performance reporting. A background supporting healthcare, biomedical engineering, or government programs is highly desirable. Requirements

  • Master’s degree or higher degree and certification in project management (e.g. Project Management Professional (PMP)).
  • 5+ years of experience planning, managing and controlling projects.
  • Demonstrated skill in communicating and working collaboratively with key stakeholders, including technical and professional staff at various levels of an organization.
  • Demonstrated competency in planning, managing and controlling projects throughout their lifecycle, writing or reviewing project management documentation.
  • Demonstrated mastery and skill in applying the theory, concepts, practices, and techniques consistent with the project management principles.
