Serves as a coordinating partner for the Primary Stroke Center to assure compliance with accrediting body for stroke program. This role routinely reviews and updates policies and procedures working with an interdisciplinary team. Collaborates with the regulatory department to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Interfaces with the hospital, Guthrie Medical Group, and community to meet certification requirements. Support the program medical director and stroke committee with establishing goals, lead teams with action planning, track improvement measures and report findings. Provides direct care and interactions with patients, families, and the care team to lead stroke care. Serves as an educator to patients, families, and interdisciplinary care teams to ensure clinical outcomes are achieved. Operates as a leader for the stroke program performance improvement initiative. Coordinates efforts between providers, hospital administration, and staff while tracking progress of the Stroke Program and identifying areas requiring attention. Make presentations of stroke program information inclusive of monthly data measures, new policies, and regulatory changes. These presentations include the Stroke Committee, nursing leadership, administration and individual hospital units.
