Program Manager, IT Infrastructure Buildout (Contract)

Think CompanyMelville, NY
$75 - $85Onsite

About The Position

As a Program Manager for IT Infrastructure Buildout, you will be the single point of contact responsible for orchestrating all technology workstreams for a two-floor, 200,000-square-foot headquarters fit-out. This role is a Think Company staffing opportunity, fully embedded with a strategic client partner, requiring daily collaboration with their stakeholders and adherence to their processes. You will represent Think Company through strong delivery, communication, and consulting acumen.

Requirements

  • A track record leading large IT or construction-adjacent infrastructure programs, including budgets of $2M or more
  • Experience coordinating Cisco network infrastructure rollouts — switching, wireless, and security — alongside structured cabling work in Cat 6A and fiber, plus familiarity with conference room AV and Webex deployments
  • Confident vendor and subcontractor management across general contracting, security, AV, and telecom trades
  • Strong budget tracking skills, including ROM-to-actual reconciliation
  • Experience managing IT relocations and moves, spanning desktop, voice, and staging logistics
  • Experience leading a team of project managers running parallel workstreams
  • Excellent stakeholder communication — you're comfortable being the single point of contact for both a client and an internal delivery team

Nice To Haves

  • Delivery experience in a utility, energy, or comparably regulated enterprise environment
  • PMP or a similar formal program or construction management credential
  • Experience working as an embedded consultant inside a client's team and processes
  • Exposure to occupancy planning or workplace experience work alongside a technology fit-out

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the single point of contact for the client across every workstream in the buildout — network, structured cabling, AV, voice, moves, and low-voltage
  • Lead four project managers across wired/wireless, conference rooms and AV, move/voice, and low-voltage cabling, keeping their plans aligned to one integrated schedule
  • Own the program budget and schedule, reconciling ROM estimates against actuals and surfacing variances early enough to act on them
  • Manage vendors and subcontractors across general contracting, security, AV, and telecom trades so sequencing holds as the floors come together
  • Run design workshops and coordinate staging, testing, and cutover so systems are proven before anyone moves in
  • Deliver clear, consistent reporting to client stakeholders and internal delivery leadership
  • Drive as-built documentation and closeout, so the client inherits an environment their own teams can maintain

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation
  • Comprehensive benefits
  • Ongoing opportunities for learning and development
