About The Position

The Program Manager, International Sales will be responsible for the design and execution of WestJet’s international point of sale strategy, ensuring KPI’s are met and exceeded while navigating a complex selling environment. The Program Manager, International Sales, will lead WestJet’s extended sales efforts by managing the day to day relationships with all GSA partners globally, building a customized sales strategy by region, and supporting GSA partners with any and all operational requirements to effectively deliver on objectives.

Requirements

  • Relevant post-secondary education
  • 7-10 years Account Management experience in a b2b setting
  • 5+ years international sales and leadership experience, preference for relevant industry experience.
  • Global Sales Leadership experience considered and asset, leading teams/ developing programs and strategy outside of Canada.
  • Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal, with experience doing business in alternate languages considered an asset.
  • Strong negotiation and analytical skills
  • Highly organized in prioritizing work and multi-tasking, and demonstrates a strong sense of urgency
  • Ability to move effectively through the consultative selling process
  • Ability to design and deliver engaging presentations to all levels of leadership both internal and external.
  • Strong knowledge of airline reporting tools considered an asset
  • Proven ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment
  • Demonstrated ability to present ideas clearly and effectively and creatively problem solve
  • Ability to travel away from home overnight as required for the role.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute commercial sales strategies that align with WestJet’s growth goals across WestJet’s global GSA partner network.
  • Design and delivery of a standardized performance platform by region, recurrent review of sales programs and strategies in market against competitiveness, and routine performance management by region, identifying and taking quick action on new opportunities when available.
  • Develop and maintain recurrent training curriculum ensuring all WestJet Sales Representatives have the knowledge and tools, to represent WestJet in market.
  • Design and delivery of a standardized global sales knowledge platform, routine system maintenance and support for a global sales team, and ensuring WestJet’s GSA partners are set up for success in market.
  • Work collaboratively with WestJet’s Sales and Marketing groups to deliver on annualized marketing calendars by region, ensuring proper and effective trade marketing representation globally.
  • Act as the main point of contact for WestJet’s extended Sales Partners ensuring operational alignment both internally and externally ensuring seamless distribution of WestJet’s products globally.
  • Other duties as assigned.
