About The Position

This role is for a Program Manager III within Amazon's Global Procurement Organization (GPO), focusing on Strategy & Innovation. The position involves executing the framework and governance for large-scale, cross-collaboration strategic initiatives. The Program Manager will drive project performance enhancements and process optimization, partnering with leaders and stakeholders across all organizational levels to achieve global improvement strategies aligned with business objectives. The role requires collaboration with Global Procurement Organization Pillar business strategy & execution leaders to ensure successful project outcomes that support the delivery of the organization's vision and strategic imperatives. This opportunity involves working on complex, high-impact programs spanning geographies and organizations, utilizing performance improvement methodologies, root cause analysis, and change management. The ideal candidate excels at problem-solving, communication, and collaboration, with a proven ability to manage multiple complex projects to successful completion.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of driving process improvements experience
  • Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
  • Knowledge of general AI tools
  • Experience designing, implementing, and scaling upskilling, apprenticeship, or workforce development programs across large-scale operations or corporate environments, including forecasting workforce needs and leveraging analytics to drive program decisions

Responsibilities

  • Manage the lifecycle of complex cross-functional programs with considerable impact, overseeing strategic initiatives across Global Procurement Organization pillars from concept through execution
  • Drive process improvement initiatives by streamlining operations, implementing data-driven enhancements, and developing performance metrics and key performance indicators to measure success
  • Partner with Global Procurement Organization leaders and business strategy & execution leaders to ensure program alignment with organizational objectives, regularly reviewing metrics and proactively seeking improved visibility mechanisms
  • Build and execute global launch strategies for new programs and processes, collaborating cross-functionally with technical and non-technical teams while managing stakeholder expectations at all levels including executive leadership
  • Identify and proactively mitigate program risks before they become roadblocks, making smart trade-offs between time, effort, and deliverables while driving consensus across teams to achieve project goals
