About The Position

Wing is looking for a Program Manager, Hardware Engineering Project Specialist to join our Technical Program Management team. This role is hybrid based in Palo Alto, CA. The position seeks highly-motivated individuals who enjoy working in a highly dynamic team environment. The successful candidate brings deep knowledge of hardware development and manufacturing processes, vendor relations and working with Contract Manufacturers (CM). You have experience with Product Data Management/Product Lifecycle Management tools (e.g. Agile), with knowledge of hardware Bill of Materials (BOM) structures and change control concepts. We’re looking for people who are intrinsically driven to solve hard problems with stunningly simple solutions, move fast, and are highly adaptive.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of program management experience in hardware development
  • 5+ years experience in working with CMs/vendors, providing guidance and driving results within hardware development life-cycle
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage complex spreadsheets and coordinate across cross-functional teams and job functions
  • Excellent multitasking abilities, with the ability to effectively prioritize when working on multiple tasks/projects, coordinating priorities, and process/tool initiatives
  • Proven to be a strong leader with demonstrated project management and supply chain management skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication, analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Motivated, results driven and extremely detail oriented
  • Demonstrate leadership skills to help drive meetings and initiatives

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Travel to support hardware development builds and manage product labeling and build documentations
  • Manage the New Product Introduction (NPI) product build matrix (system configuration decoder), tracking material readiness, tracking engineering parallel paths and investigations, and product configurations
  • Lead a weekly build readiness meeting with the Contract Manufacturing team, and provide training to partners on related deliverables (how to read build matrix, allocation/shipment planning and applicable build matrix database training)
  • Manage system allocation database, provide allocation direction, track system delivery schedules, ensure timely distribution to all product groups, and update device tracking tool
  • Coordinate with product development and MechEng & EE engineering teams to ensure BOM readiness in Agile prior to builds
  • Manage NPI build asset tracking.
  • Be able to support either system, module or sustaining work as needed
