About The Position

This position is located in the UF College of Medicine-Jacksonville Office of Educational Affairs. The Program Manager will design, develop, and manage programs and projects for student activities, including all events of the UFCOM-J regional medical campus for both prospective and current students. This role involves managing space allocation for student organizations and student activities, developing partnerships internally and externally to implement new or improved student affairs programs, and managing the coordination and clearance of all rotating students external to the UF COM. The Program Manager will also provide primary coordination for UFCOM-J regional medical campus admissions processes, support the Student Affairs division, and stay abreast of current trends and Liaison Committee on Medical Education accreditation standards. Additionally, the role involves participating in strategic planning, quality improvement, and assisting with special projects.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and five years of appropriate experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Expertise in the utilization of the VSLO national application system.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and manage programs and projects for student activities, including all events of the UFCOM-J regional medical campus for both prospective and current students.
  • Manage space allocation for student organizations and student activities.
  • Develop partnerships both internally and with external organizations to implement new and/or improved student affairs programs and ensure ongoing satisfaction of partner organizations.
  • Manage coordination/clearance of all rotating students external to the UF COM (outside MS3/4, International, NP, OMFS, Podiatry, Interns, Observers, and others), including providing expertise in the utilization of the VSLO national application system and assisting with educational contracts.
  • Develop alliances with Association of American Medical Colleges to provide input as system evolves.
  • Plan and manage recruitment/enrollment activities and outreach, and provide primary coordination for UFCOM-J regional medical campus admissions processes.
  • Work with admissions department staff to develop alliances with external feeder institutions and organizations.
  • Provide primary support for Student Affairs division, working with the Assistant Dean to coordinate student support services (learning culture reports, MSPE, residency letters, etc.), and to manage pathway programs and other related activities.
  • Stay abreast of current trends and Liaison Committee on Medical Education accreditation standards to help develop SOP revisions and ensure implementation for the respective staff to ensure consistency and compliance.
  • Participate in strategic planning and quality improvement, as well as helping develop and manage cross-departmental initiatives aimed at strengthening clinical education operations, student services, and interprofessional collaboration.
  • Assist with special projects and perform other additional duties as assigned by the Senior Associate Dean for Educational Affairs.
