About The Position

The Program Manager, Content & Outreach will lead the execution of clinician-focused content initiatives and engagement strategies to support access to high-quality, equitable reproductive health care, including abortion, contraception and miscarriage care. Translate clinical evidence, guidelines, and policy into practical tools and resources that support implementation across diverse healthcare settings. Lead cross-functional content initiatives from planning through evaluation, establish metrics to assess impact, and continuously refine materials based on clinician feedback and real-world use. Drive outreach and dissemination efforts, build and maintain relationships with clinicians and partner organizations, and represent ACOG at national, regional, and local conferences and professional meetings. Ideal candidate is a strong communicator and project manager, with a deep knowledge of reproductive health care, a commitment to health equity and reproductive justice, and a desire to support meaningful practice change. Note: This position is considered Hybrid and will need to commute to ACOG's office located in Washington, D.C.

Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust, authentically connect with diverse stakeholders, and foster effective relationships with clinicians, partners, and internal teams
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for diverse professional audiences and effectively navigate complex and sensitive topics
  • Ability to understand and synthesize complex barriers to reproductive health care delivery
  • Ability to represent an organization at conferences, meetings or other public-facing events
  • Strong judgment and ability to independently resolve logistical and engagement challenges in real time during events and conferences
  • Strong attention to detail and demonstrated commitment to equity
  • Ability to travel frequently, including overnight and multi-day trips
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
  • 5-7 years of related experience required, with progressively responsible project management experience; experience in family planning strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of abortion and contraceptive care, including clinical practice, policy, and access issues
  • Experience managing multiple complex projects and diverse stakeholder groups required

  • Experience developing and managing health-related content initiatives preferred, including clinician-facing tools and implementation resources across health care settings
  • Experience with practice transformation, quality improvement, or implementation science preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional content projects on reproductive health topics from planning through execution and evaluation; manage content production workflows
  • Establish goals, metrics, and evaluation frameworks to assess project effectiveness
  • Develop practical, clinician-facing tools and resources to support the implementation of abortion, contraception, and miscarriage care into diverse clinical settings; collaborate with clinician and other subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and clinical relevance
  • Pilot and refine tools and resources based on provider feedback, ensuring usability and effectiveness in supporting practice change
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support the dissemination of tools and resources, ensuring broad reach, effective uptake, and meaningful impact across target audiences
  • Assist in developing and implementing outreach strategies to engage clinicians across diverse practice settings, as well as other key stakeholders; identify opportunities to expand reach and impact
  • Build and maintain relationships with members, other clinicians, and partner organizations
  • Oversee planning for and serve as ACOG representative at exhibits at national, regional, and local meetings and conferences; track and evaluate exhibiting efforts to inform future outreach
  • Design engaging, visually compelling materials tailored to clinician audiences to drive interest, conversation, and meaningful engagement at professional meetings and conferences
  • Stay current on evolving clinical guidelines, health policy, and systems-level changes affecting abortion and contraception access
  • Ensure all content and outreach initiatives center health equity, reproductive justice, and patient-centered care
  • Manage timelines, budgets, and external vendors or consultants
  • Prepare reports, briefs, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
