This position serves as the Program Manager for the Community-Based Access and Support Office within the Division of Prevention and Promotion in the Behavioral Health Administration (BHA). As a critical leadership role, this position develops, implements, oversees, and evaluates statewide programs designed to improve access to behavioral health services and enhance peer-to-peer support initiatives. The Program Manager ensures alignment of these programs with BHA’s mission to promote resilience, recovery, and equity in behavioral health care across Maryland. The role involves leading the expansion of the Certified Peer Recovery Specialist workforce, managing programmatic and fiscal oversight for state-funded initiatives, and providing technical assistance to local jurisdictions and stakeholders. This position also provides leadership for the Maryland Commitment to Veterans (MCV) program, which improves access to behavioral health services for service members, veterans, and their families. Within this role, the Program Manager oversees the implementation of key initiatives, including the Governor’s Challenge to Prevent Suicide Among Service Members, Veterans, and Families, ensuring the integration of suicide prevention efforts within MCV’s broader mission. Through effective leadership and strategic oversight, the Program Manager ensures that all programs under their purview operate efficiently, adhere to state and federal regulations, and achieve measurable outcomes that address the behavioral health needs of Maryland residents. This position is eligible for Hybrid Telework.
