About The Position

The Program Manager leads assigned sales programs from design through implementation and sustainment. The role converts priorities into actionable plans, coordinates cross-functional delivery, and addresses barriers to field adoption and performance.

Requirements

  • Typically 5-7 years of relevant experience and a post-secondary degree in a related field of study, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Solid experience managing cross-functional programs or projects from design through implementation and sustainment.
  • Strong knowledge of program planning, stakeholder management, change readiness, communications, reporting, and issue resolution.
  • Ability to translate business strategy into clear workplans, field requirements, deliverables, and measures of success.
  • In-depth verbal and written communication, collaboration, analytical problem-solving, and influence skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage non-routine situations, and balance multiple priorities.

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of commercial banking, sales programs, business development, or a comparable financial-services environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead assigned sales programs from scoping and business requirements through launch, measurement, and sustainment.
  • Develop integrated plans defining outcomes, milestones, roles, dependencies, risks, communications, and success measures.
  • Manage workstreams, governance, status reporting, issue resolution, escalation, and program documentation.
  • Translate business priorities into practical sales programs, processes, tools, and field resources.
  • Partner across Sales, Product, Marketing, Strategy, Operations, and Technology to ensure solutions are relevant and executable.
  • Define readiness requirements and confirm resources, processes, technology, and stakeholder support before rollout.
  • Serve as the central coordination point during implementation of assigned programs.
  • Develop or coordinate field communications, leader materials, FAQs, job aids, and implementation resources.
  • Use field feedback to identify adoption barriers, resolve issues, and reinforce program requirements.
  • Define program metrics, reporting requirements, and adoption indicators with relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide updates and dashboards highlighting progress, outcomes, risks, decisions, and trends.
  • Use performance data and feedback to improve program effectiveness and document lessons learned.
  • Take measured risks while protecting the bank by applying BMO’s Risk Management Framework in the execution of the role, in line with the Bank’s Risk Culture and approved Risk Appetite.
  • Make sound, risk-informed decisions that align to business strategy, protect assets, and comply with applicable policies, standards, procedures, laws, and regulations.
