Program Manager, AI Infrastructure Operations, 12 Months FTC
About The Position
As a Program Manager for our AI Platform, you will be the operational heartbeat of a large cross-functional program powering the Gemini and GenAI serving stack. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract (FTC) role designed to provide critical program support and drive operational excellence. You will focus on process management and execution, ensuring our technical infrastructure initiatives run smoothly across global time zones while providing a structured framework for our engineering teams to succeed. The Role This is a high-impact Program Manager role with a strong focus on operations and program support within a mission-critical technical environment. You will be responsible for the program operations of our GenAI serving stack, bridging the gap between technical design and execution. The role is dynamic and requires a leader who can thrive in an agile, fast-moving environment where priorities can shift quickly. You will manage critical workflows such as accelerating technical design reviews, enhancing cross-functional collaborations, and ensuring that the program's objectives are met with precision and efficiency.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Program Manager, distinct from Product Management or Engineering roles.
- Experience working directly with engineers on large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Demonstrated ability to create, implement, and influence process improvements across stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable working in an agile, ever-changing environment where goals and metrics may pivot.
- Strong track record of managing project lifecycles, execution, and reviews.
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with software stacks, agile methodologies, and the AI/ML realm, specifically Gemini or similar LLM serving stacks.
- Experience working effectively with teams across multiple time zones throughout the US and Europe.
- Proven ability to take chaotic or unstructured programs and implement clear, sustainable operational frameworks.
Responsibilities
- Define, lead, and own program charters that address scope, timeline, OKRs, resourcing, and risks/dependencies of complex programs
- Lead design reviews and technical steering discussion forums to effectively vet and accelerate engineering velocity.
- Partner closely with engineers to resolve operational bottlenecks and support the delivery of infrastructure projects.
- Organize and lead program reviews, summits and other events to foster collaboration and team cohesion.
- Identify opportunities to revamp or reboot existing processes, moving from chaotic workflows to structured, efficient frameworks.
