The Infrastructure & Operations Program Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end management of procurement and equipment installations. The PM will work within the Air Force Research Laboratory’s Munitions Directorate, Ordnance Division, Energetic Materials Branch. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a proven track record of developing and implementing effective tracking tools and processes. A key function of this position is to present comprehensive updates and reports to branch leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science
  • Minimum of 8 years in Program & Project Management, with a focus on process improvement.
  • Proficient in MS Excel (including pivot tables and lookups), MS Project, PowerPoint, government email systems, and procurement processes.
  • Proficient in Air Force Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) protocols, including the use of safety-toe footwear and eye protection in Hazardous Operations environments.
  • Effective use of verbal and written communication in a scientific/technical setting.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic team of scientists, engineers and technicians.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET level security clearance.
  • Due to the requirements of our research contracts with the U.S. federal government, candidates for this position must be a U.S. citizen.

Nice To Haves

  • An active SECRET security clearance or equivalent.
  • BS degree in Business Administration.
  • Experience with DoD Financial Management.
  • Experience with energetic materials Research and Development laboratory environments.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain centralized requirements and tracking toolset to catalog requirements, track orders and invoices, schedule installation preparations, and communicate status updates to leadership.
  • Provide complete procurement and installation support for research laboratory equipment, including defining operational requirements, conducting market research, and coordinating with vendors.
  • Support site quality assurance inspections and ensure the timely completion of any corrective actions to minimize disruptions.
  • Coordinate with outside agencies and cross-functional teams to maintain instruments and equipment.
  • Manage, order, and track incoming supplies and equipment, including proper storage and inventory, ensuring compliance with all procedures and safety standards.
