About The Position

CareDx, Inc. is a leading precision medicine solutions company focused on the discovery, development, and commercialization of clinically differentiated, high-value healthcare solutions for transplant patients and caregivers. CareDx offers products, testing services, and digital healthcare solutions along the pre- and post-transplant patient journey, and is the leading provider of genomics-based information for transplant patients. CareDx is looking for a Project Management Intern to support a high-impact initiative focused on strengthening project management maturity across CareDx. This internship is designed for current undergraduate students who are interested in project management, biotechnology, and process improvement. The intern will help document and standardize how projects are executed across Lab and Testing Services by capturing current workflows, reviewing project documentation, and contributing to the development of the first edition of the PPMO Handbook and Service Catalog. This work will help establish a reliable “source of truth” for project execution and support audit-ready, predictable outcomes. The intern will have a chance to summarize what they’ve learned and provide recommendations to the leadership team.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Project Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field
  • Interest in biotechnology, process improvement, or project management
  • Ability to manage tasks independently and meet project timelines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); familiarity with Smartsheet is a plus

Nice To Haves

  • Coursework in Project Management, Business, or Life Sciences
  • Exposure to project management concepts or tools through coursework or group projects
  • Prior internship, academic project, or leadership experience

Responsibilities

  • Participate in discovery sessions with Lab, Engineering, and Project team members to document workflows
  • Review existing project files and assist with identifying documentation gaps
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners including Regulatory, Quality, and R&D
  • Prepare status updates, summaries, and visuals for weekly check-ins with the PPMO Lead
  • Attend team meetings, reviews, and stand-ups to observe project standards in action
  • Support preparation and delivery of a final “Source of Truth” presentation for leadership
