About The Position

The Program Management Analyst will support Program Managers in the planning, execution, monitoring, and administration of government contracts and projects. This role involves ensuring contract requirements, deliverables, and reporting obligations are met. Key responsibilities include monitoring project financial performance, utilizing Unanet for various project management functions, assisting with contract administration, analyzing program metrics, tracking budgets and invoices, managing risks and issues, improving processes, maintaining documentation, coordinating with stakeholders, and providing executive and meeting support.

Requirements

  • 3–7 years of experience supporting government contracts, program management, project controls, finance, contracts administration, or related disciplines.
  • Demonstrated experience with project financial management, forecasting, budgeting, and cost analysis.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance if required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Project Management, Economics, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of government contract management, project controls, and project financial analysis.
  • Experience using Unanet ERP/CRM for project accounting, resource management, reporting, and financial tracking.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, formulas, data analysis, and financial reporting.
  • Knowledge of government contracting environments, including contract funding, labor categories, CLINs, and project cost management.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to interpret financial data and communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience using Unanet is strongly preferred.
  • Experience supporting DoD, Federal Government, or defense contractor programs preferred.
  • Familiarity with contract types including Cost Plus, Time & Materials (T&M), and Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contracts preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support Program Managers in the planning, execution, monitoring, and administration of government contracts and projects.
  • Ensure contract requirements, deliverables, and reporting obligations are tracked and fulfilled.
  • Monitor project financial performance, including labor utilization, funding status, burn rates, indirect/direct cost tracking, revenue recognition support, and variance analysis.
  • Assist Program Managers with forecasting and financial planning activities.
  • Utilize Unanet to support project setup, labor tracking, project costing, revenue monitoring, resource management, timesheet review, expense reporting, and financial reporting.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to support program decision-making.
  • Assist with contract administration activities, including contract modifications, funding tracking, CLIN management, subcontractor coordination, invoice review, and compliance with contract requirements.
  • Collect, analyze, and report on key program metrics, including schedule performance, financial performance, resource utilization, contract funding, and program health indicators.
  • Support project budgeting, funding management, invoice validation, cost reconciliation, and preparation of financial reports to ensure alignment with contractual and organizational requirements.
  • Identify, track, and report program risks, financial concerns, and contractual issues.
  • Support development and implementation of mitigation strategies.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to project controls, financial management processes, reporting tools, and program management methodologies.
  • Maintain project documentation, contract files, financial records, meeting minutes, status reports, and executive dashboards.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, contract requirements, and applicable regulations.
  • Serve as a liaison between Program Managers, Contracts, Finance, Operations, subcontractors, and government customers to facilitate effective communication and issue resolution.
  • Prepare briefing materials, financial summaries, program status reports, and executive-level presentations for internal and customer reviews.
