About The Position

This is a Software Systems Engineer position for the RepBox MASC-F program supporting the Missile Defense Agency (MDA). The candidate in this role will work with both contractors and government civilians at the Lockheed Martin Redstone Gateway facility. Tasks include developing system level features that describe sensor representative behavior, performance, and acceptance criteria necessary to provide guidance for software implementation for the developer team on-site. Tasks also include leading a team of multi-contractor radar Subject Matter Experts (SME) and feature elaboration for the software team.

Requirements

US Citizen and a resident of the Huntsville, AL area or be willing to relocate to the Huntsville, AL area.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or related field.
7 or more years of system engineering experience.
Experience in one or more of the following areas: MDA Ground-Based Midcourse Defense (GMD) systems, tactical weapons systems, tactical sensor systems, software, Formal Qualification Testing(FQT), requirements decomposition, or software tools, and programming languages including python and C++.
Record of taking initiative and being a team player in a small team environment.
Comfortable working as a team member in a fast-paced software development environment.
Willing to engage various levels of stakeholders to ensure that software is capable of meeting the needs of the intended users.
Highly organized with a strong technical background in system engineering principles.
Good communication skills.
Ability to lead a team of SMEs to accomplish tasking.
Must be able to acquire or possess (as well as maintain) a US Secret security clearance.

Nice To Haves

System engineering experience in support of DoD programs is highly desired, especially in the MDA GMD program.
Experience using Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence.
SAFe© Agile experience are a plus.

Responsibilities
