About The Position

Reporting to the Program Coordinator, the Program Leader is responsible for planning and delivering weekly Autism Moves sport sessions for youth with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This role develops and adapts lesson plans to meet participant needs, leads on-site program delivery, and coordinates with the Inclusion Coach and Program Support team. The position also serves as the primary point of contact for families and contributes to program evaluation and continuous improvement. This part-time, contract role has an hourly rate of $25/hr. This is a replacement position and works on site.

Requirements

  • Experience in program facilitation, lesson planning, and sport or recreation leadership.
  • Strong understanding of autism spectrum disorder and inclusive programming.
  • Proven ability to manage teams and coordinate logistics effectively.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Strong ability to problem solve and think on your feet.
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude.
  • Availability to work on weekends and weeknights.
  • Access to a vehicle to attend different program sites.
  • Able to provide a clear Vulnerable Sector Check.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingualism (English & French) is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and delivery of the weekly sport sessions, ensuring alignment with the program’s objectives.
  • Develop and adapt lesson plans and sport curriculums to cater to the needs and abilities of participants.
  • Oversee and coordinate the activities with the Inclusion Coach and Program Support staff during sessions.
  • Serve as the main point of contact onsite for families, providing updates and addressing concerns.
  • Monitor program effectiveness with Program Coordinator and suggest improvements based on feedback and observation.
