The Program Lead is responsible for creating a nurturing, positive learning environment and developing strategies to help clients cope effectively with social, emotional, and physical situations of daily living, facilitating independent performance in these areas. This role requires performing all job functions of a Residential Instructor and Assistant Manager, including lifting and transferring clients (70-75lbs), and working both inside and outside the home. The Program Lead must be able to utilize approved protective hold techniques to ensure safety. They will participate in developing Individualized Plans of Service (IPOS), including program development, data tracking, and report generation to meet agency and state regulatory requirements. This includes participating in the Interdisciplinary Team Process and implementing IPOS, ensuring timely program execution, staff in-servicing, and proper documentation. The Program Lead must be fully knowledgeable of each client's IPOS, programs, service needs, diets, medications, and routines. They will monitor medical, physical, and behavioral changes daily, documenting and reporting them to the appropriate departments and management. The role involves correcting errors in client programs, reporting issues, and monitoring medication administration by certified staff to ensure compliance with policy and proper documentation. The Program Lead will also ensure written dietary plans are followed, maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of the home and vehicles, and uphold client privacy and confidentiality. Professional conduct, positive role modeling, and conducting monthly staff meetings with mandatory training are essential. The Program Lead ensures clients follow a written daily schedule, including community outings and activities, and that the program complies with DDS regulations, being present for inspections. Financial responsibilities include managing petty cash and client funds with accurate accounting and reporting discrepancies. They are responsible for scheduling staff to resident ratios, ensuring safe staffing levels, and familiarizing themselves with CRI Policies and Procedures. The role involves rotating on-call duties with the Assistant Manager, reporting monthly to the agency, monitoring adaptive equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety requirements, including monthly fire drills. The Program Lead is responsible for interviewing and recommending new direct care staff hires to the Program Director. They must participate in and ensure staff meet training requirements, notifying management of expiring trainings. Client incident reports must be completed and forwarded, and the Program Lead will work with consultants to ensure recommended client services are implemented. Daily staff supervision, including progressive discipline and evaluations, with a maintained supervision log, is required. Finally, the Program Lead performs other duties as delegated by management.
