Responsibilities

Hands on Caregiving: Provides direct care support to members with disabilities by assisting with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, toileting, and hygiene as outlined by the individual service plan. Comfortable using mobility devices and practicing safe transfer and ambulation techniques.
Leads group home meetings and communicates changes with the home, consumers, staff, and organization to ensure everyone is informed and updated.
Collaborates with HR in hiring, retention, discipline, and termination processes to ensure qualified employees and adequate staffing.
Completes all applicable documentation related to tasks assigned.
Maintains a safe, sanitary, and welcoming group home by performing housekeeping duties such as vacuuming, emptying trash, cleaning bathrooms, dusting, making beds, and changing linens. Also performs laundry duties.
Prepares and serves meals by following general nutritional guidelines, menus, and individual dietary restrictions, needs, and preferences to ensure consumer health.
Assists, escorts, and provides physical and other types of assistance needed by members during social and recreational activities.
