About The Position

Are you a graduate student passionate about applying psychological principles to the workplace? Pilot Company is seeking a Talent Management Intern to join our team in Knoxville, Tennessee, for the summer of 2026. This is a unique opportunity to directly influence our selection and talent processes. In this role, you will be a key player oin our Talent Management team. Your work will focus on improving the operational efficiency of our selection and assessment processes, including how we evaluate individuals for hiring and development. Your contributions will help streamline our systems and ensure our processes are aligned with the evolving needs of our organization. This is an excellent opportunity for a student who is eager to apply their academic knowledge in a real-world, fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Currently a graduate student in an Industrial-Organizational (I-O) Psychology or a related program.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, with experience in Excel and R preferred.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent analysis and problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills.
  • A driven and reliable individual who completes tasks in a timely fashion and is on time every day.
  • An authentic and transparent communication style, with a willingness to speak up and voice differing opinions.
  • A welcoming, positive, and respectful attitude toward others.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in data analysis, with experience in Excel and R preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Improve operational efficiencies within the selection and assessment space.
  • Help update and streamline hiring processes to align with company culture and environmental shifts.
  • Contribute to how we assess individuals for selection and development.
  • Collaborate with the Talent Management team to enhance our overall capacity and impact.
  • Support the team with projects that require data analysis, research and critical thinking.
