About The Position

This is a pro-bono volunteer position. JerseySTEM is looking for talented professionals across our departments to commit time and energy as long-term engagement for our mission to provide STEM education to underrepresented middle school girls. The Program Instructors Recruiter provides leadership, direction and planning to identify, reach out to and engage with College and universities of interest that could provide volunteer program instructors.

Requirements

• Genuine concern about/interest in solving the STEM education gender gap
• Familiarity with the US college ecosystem and Gen Z or dealing with teenagers.young adults
• Good interpersonal skills
• Resourceful, can-do attitude
• Experience in a recruitment or volunteer engagement function
• Comfort working in a ‘virtual organization’ with digital tools (G-Suite, Slack, Jira, salesforce)

Responsibilities

• Interviewing for the interviewing of the prospective program instructors
• Uses a handshake to gather information about the candidates to be interviewed.
• Collaborate with the Curriculum Team and the Community Engagement team for the proper setup of the program instructors
• Volunteer Program Director and other stakeholders to develop and refine the volunteer instructor training program. (This is for COLE300, COLE.PIO team
• Attend virtual team meetings weekly : (Sundays 5pm)
