About The Position

The Program Instructor assists with the preparation, implementation, and event management of youth and adult programming at the Downriver Family YMCA. The role supports program activities and helps ensure programs run smoothly, including by assisting with or teaching programs. It also involves maintaining program supplies, equipment, and materials and storing equipment properly.

Requirements

• Ability to move equipment, including the strength to lift, carry, push, or pull.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with children in a supervised setting is preferred but not required.
• Basic programming knowledge is preferred but not required.
• Experience working with neurodivergent children is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and implementing programming activities.
• Help programs run smoothly by assisting where needed, including assisting with or teaching programs.
• Maintain the quality and inventory of supplies, equipment, and materials.
• Assist with proper storage of program equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
