Responsible for the curriculum and instruction of the Art and Education Program for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Responsible for leading a group of individuals with engaging lesson plans while developing positive and professional relationships with staff, clients, families, community and provider partners. Oversight of record keeping and case notes in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Providing program and community growth. Meeting goals set forth by Art and Education Program Manager and Site Coordinator. This position requires availability Monday through Friday from 8:00am - 5:00pm in person at one of our 4 campuses: Austin, Leander, Hutto, Marble Falls. We are looking for a person who has a passion for helping others through an educational avenue and wants to make a difference in peoples lives through post-secondary education and through creative and artistic expression. The ideal candidate has experience teaching curriculum in a group setting and can provide a safe, supportive and welcoming environment that promotes independence and joy for individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. The candidate should be great at building a community environment in an enthusiastic way while managing a diverse clientele with professionalism, be well versed in technology, multi-media arts and has great time management and organizational skills.
