Program Instructor, Adults and Older Adults
About The Position
We are seeking enthusiastic and creative Program Instructor(s) to lead engaging activities for adults and older adults in a welcoming and inclusive environment. This is a great opportunity, ideal for individuals who enjoy sharing their skills, building community, and creating meaningful experiences. Program Instructor(s) are responsible for planning and delivering high-quality programs that encourage participation, social connection, and lifelong learning. Classes will be ongoing or short-term, depending on interest and availability with sessions typically running over several weeks or months. Classes are typically 90 minutes delivered in person. Programs are subject to minimum enrollment.
Requirements
- Experience facilitating group programs, teaching, or leading activities (formal or informal)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Passion for working with adults and/or older adults
- Reliable, organized, and adaptable
Nice To Haves
- Relevant certifications are an asset (depending on program type)
Responsibilities
- Design and lead engaging, well-structured sessions
- Create a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment
- Adapt programming to meet the needs and abilities of participants
- Communicate clearly with participants and coordinators
- Manage basic materials and setup (as applicable)
