Assists the Classroom Teacher in providing quality, developmentally appropriate educational opportunities which meet the individual needs of every child. This role requires flexibility and a commitment to lifelong learning, effective communication, teamwork, high personal standards, and a proactive approach. The Program Floater will support classroom setup, instructional learning, parent meetings, active supervision, and documentation. They must adhere to all policies, Head Start Program Performance Standards, and child care licensing standards. Responsibilities include preparing and cleaning up instructional materials, following safety guidelines, reporting suspected child abuse, and maintaining a sanitized classroom environment. The position also involves assisting with parent and staff recruitment and ensuring positive, appropriate, and respectful adult-child interactions.
