About The Position

The Bridge Youth & Family Services requires a Temporary Part-Time Program Facilitator to ensure the physical, emotional, and social needs of adult participants are met. The Program Facilitator(s) provides assessment, treatment planning and implementation for participants of the program. Delivers psycho-educational workshops and teaches mindfulness based relapse prevention and coping strategies. Utilizes community resources to facilitate achievement of treatment goals and transition planning. The position aids the participant in identifying and understanding personal issues and in establishing and achieving specific, attainable goals necessary to recovery. This is a temporary, part-time position for 24 hours per week until the return of the incumbent.

Requirements

  • Minimum Undergraduate Degree in Social Work, Psychology or Related Field.
  • 3 years experience working with addictions and mental health.
  • Training and experience providing evidence-based responses/ therapeutic interventions to individuals experiencing alcohol use disorder, substance use disorder or concurrent disorder.
  • Demonstrated group facilitation and counselling skills.
  • Experience creating and working within a culturally inclusive environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, orally and in writing.
  • Ability to build strong, collaborative working relationships with external and internal stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated crisis management, decision-making, conflict resolution, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Criminal Record Search in accordance with agency policy.
  • Employees must declare their vaccination status for COVID-19 and influenza; if vaccinated, documentation must be provided.
  • Valid BC driver’s license and use of reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities
