Program Facilitator
About The Position
As a part-time Program Facilitator at our Richardson, TX location, you will facilitate an impactful experience for volunteers while furthering our mission to feed God’s starving children hungry in body and spirit. FMSC has been recognized on Dallas Morning News' and USA Today’s Top Workplaces lists. This role involves providing hospitality to volunteers, delivering presentations about FMSC's mission, performing warehousing tasks, ensuring packing sessions run smoothly, leading prayer, and maintaining a clean facility. Program Facilitators are expected to have high energy and be adaptable in a fast-paced, team environment.
Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend and reach during (6-8 hour) shifts.
- Ability to lift 30-50 lbs. repeatedly.
- Ability to use hand tools, like utility knives.
- Ability to move heavy inventory using a pallet jack (training will be provided).
- High energy and adaptability in a fast-paced, team environment.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with large-group presentations.
- Experience in warehousing or food production.
- Experience in hospitality.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional hospitality to volunteers: warmly greet, answer questions, provide clear instructions, address concerns and show genuine appreciation.
- Deliver polished, engaging large-group presentations introducing volunteers to FMSC’s mission, impact, and food production procedures, while encouraging further contribution.
- Perform warehousing tasks including standing, walking, pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, reaching, lifting 30-50 lbs. repeatedly, using hand tools like utility knives, and moving heavy inventory using a pallet jack.
- Ensure packing sessions run smoothly from the flow of people and materials, to tracking meal production.
- Lead a Christian prayer over packed meals, inviting volunteers to join in.
- Maintain a clean, food-safe facility by doing laundry, washing dishes, and cleaning floors, surfaces, and bathrooms.
