Program Executive, Drug Development and Commercial
About The Position
Praxis is seeking a talented, experienced leader for a key program advancing best-in-class or first-in-class products for areas of high unmet medical need. The Program Executive will lead a cross-functional program team and be accountable for program strategy, decision-making, and efficient, high-quality execution across research, development, technical operations, and commercialization. The role requires strategic thinking, collaboration, intellectual curiosity, and comfort taking ownership in an ambiguous, fast-moving environment with limited hierarchy. The Program Executive is expected to build alignment, understand all aspects of product development, and drive the program forward rather than simply coordinate consensus. The position may be performed remotely and requires flexibility and willingness to travel as needed. It includes regular computer and office-equipment use, clear communication, and occasional movement. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
Requirements
- Demonstrated drug development experience with a strong track record of cross-functional leadership.
- Strong holistic understanding of the drug development process across functions.
- Ability to translate strategy into execution and drive decisions that create value under real-world constraints.
- Clear and compelling communication across internal and external stakeholders.
- Comfort operating with limited hierarchy and high personal accountability.
- Learning agility and intellectual curiosity, including the ability to rapidly develop deep understanding of new therapeutic areas.
- Willingness to challenge assumptions, surface risks early, and engage in healthy debate in service of the best outcome.
- Ability to balance urgency with rigor in fast-moving environments.

Responsibilities
- Communicate a shared, ambitious vision for the program to internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead, manage, and maintain the Program Team, partnering with functional leads to support team effectiveness and operational excellence while retaining accountability for program-level decisions.
- Create and execute program strategy and integrated development plans.
- Work with the Program Team to define and deliver program OKRs.
- Provide strategic oversight of program budgets and resourcing, actively shaping investment decisions.
- Develop scenarios to inform decision-making and program planning, and ensure the team has the skills and capabilities needed to execute the program plan.
- Model Praxis values and ways of working by inspiring ambitious goals, giving and receiving direct feedback, and building trust through transparency and follow-through.
- Contribute hands-on where needed, take on multiple roles, fill gaps, and hold oneself to the same standards as the team.
- Serve as the primary integration point with corporate processes without creating unnecessary bureaucracy.
