About The Position

The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will drive cross-functional initiatives in product development and large-scale manufacturing projects. This role requires a creative problem-solver with demonstrable experience in time management, organizing tasks for a common goal, and ensuring deliverables by a deadline in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • College Degree in mechanical engineering and project management required
  • Proven experience managing multiple complex projects in a dynamic environment
  • Expert in project management software
  • Availability Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm eastern standard time
  • Ability to reliably commute to company headquarters
  • Excellent writing, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Teams, etc.)
  • Fluent in English
  • Authorization to work in the United States (the Company is unable to sponsor work visas)

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to manage metal manufacturing projects from sample development through full production.
  • Provide regular project status updates to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Advise clients on manufacturing best practices, including methods, materials, and finishing options.
  • Communicate technical information, deviations, and factory requests to the sales team for client follow-up.
  • Partner with Quality Engineer on non-conforming parts and corrective action documentation.
  • Review new projects for technical feasibility and manufacturing readiness.
  • Work with Quality Engineer and Supplier Quality Engineer on in-process and incoming inspections.
  • Collaborate with Quality and Supplier Quality Engineer on vendor quality performance and management.
  • Escalate at-risk projects and engage COO/CEO as needed for support and resolution.
  • Ensure customer prints are complete and accurate, including tolerances, specifications, revisions, and material callouts.
  • Identify prints requiring client revisions or formal sign-off.
  • Review vendor inspection reports in collaboration with Quality Engineer for accuracy and completeness.
  • Oversee day-to-day vendor management and performance.
  • Partner with the Sourcing team on vendor selection, ensuring capabilities align with RFQ requirements.
  • Review vendor RFQs for technical accuracy.
  • Participate in factory tours and vendor audits with the Sourcing team.
  • Perform project kickoff meetings with clients and vendors. Circulate appropriate kickoff forms.
  • Review vendor quotes for technical accuracy and respond to technical questions during the quoting process.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the CEO and COO.
